Anyone going to it this weekend in NY? Who's singing? I hear Mystic River and Tha Tribe so far.

i was juuuuuust googling info on this pdub and noticed that.... i thought that was a pretty neat set up, having to place and compete for champion... that was cool... well hopefully next year huh?... i heard great things about all those pdubz! i'll still check out the bear mountain one...

my sons and i are (more them) are looking forward to camping.. are the Alleghany dancers going to be there this year? can you pm me on that day loot? thanks!

Yes the Seneca Allegany Iroquois Dancers (John Block) will be there.

Hopefully next year we will have the Championship Contests back. This year we decided to not do contests from all the rained out pws in the many years past and we need to get out of the red...so hopefully this year will do the trick.

Day $$ on Saturday and Sunday for Adults (16+) is $40 per day. I know it's not much but we hired most of the years past Contest Champions to perform.

Its close to me in NJ and Ive never been there. I go to Sussex alot.

I read last years post about the hotels and Im glad that i live within 40 miles!

The reason the hotels are so hi$ is because the airport is right there.

As for contests, understandable, bad weather kills a powwow, especially a contest powwow.

Any word on drums, was i right?

I didnt make it due to last minute problems. I hate when a good dance is THAT close to me and I still cant make it. Oh well, 3 more to make up for it.

so the powwow went ok. It was crazy windy...35+mph winds. but it was sunny. had a nice lil dancer turnout.
