about this pow wow and Grand River...
Yous all know about this pow wow taking place the same weekend as Grand River....WELL....my nation's newsletter addressed this issue, and I thought that I would post up the portion of the article because it explained why the dates were changed...
(I quoted the article) "First and Foremost: In Case You Haven't Heard" Greetings from the Seneca Nation Pow Wow Committee. Like last year, this year will see the Nation hosting two Pow Wows on consecutive weekends in July. To coincide with the Tuscarora commemoration of the Jay Treaty of 1794, and support the sovereign stance on this pertinent issue, the Niagara event will be held on July 14-16, while the Allegany Pow Wow will be the following weekend on July 21-23. As we are aware that this arrangement has caused a scheduling conflict among many Pow Wowwers, we have exhausted our re-scheduling efforts and would like to take this opportunity to apologize for any inconvenience. Also, to our brothers and sisters up at Grand River, we're sorry....
