24th Annual Piscataway Indian Festival and Pow Wow June 3 - 4, 2006

24th Annual Piscataway Indian Festival and Pow Wow June 3 - 4, 2006

This powwow is happening about 30 miles from where I live. Unfortunately I will not be able to attend. Arranging for transporting 2 power chairs and 3 people outside of the area serviced by mass-transit is a bit like planning the Normandy Invasion

Having said that, if there are folks that want to go to Piscataway but can't because of the $$ needed for crash space - I have a double bed upstairs (lots of floor space upstairs too) and a queen size futon in the living room. The house is wheelchair accessible (duh) and I've been told I make good fry bread.

Send me a PM if I can help out.

This is always a good p/w. Last year it was really hot but good. We will be drumming there again this year. If the weather is good, I might ride my bike.

Good luck on the Normandy Invasion...don't forget to take time for yourself. You are very generous to offer space for a powwow visitor, that's keeping up an old tradition. Someday I hope to make it back to the East Coast for some powwows.

RedWolf is host drum. Alrighty then. If everything works out right, we'll be up there as well. I just talked to Maurice this past weekend. Should be a pretty good p/w.

Well, I just found out yesterday that we are not going to be drumming this on this year. Too many other commitments for some of our singers. I still might try to come up there one day though. Maybe I can sit in with someone and get a song in.

Spinna - You ever find out what was going on?

I don't want to offend Mrs. Proctor by sending another email asking the same durn-fool question she already sent me email on BUT on the other hand if another drum is going to be host, it'd be nice to be able to post the updated information...

M'gwitch,

Man, I wanted to come up there yesterday sooooo bad. The weather said that they were calling for some bad storms up there, so, I did not want to take the chance. Glad to here that you all had a good time. What other drums were there?
