So much for tryin to be funny. Baker caught me again.

(that was sarcasm, did you get it THAT time)

If only the PERFECT CHOSEN singers sang, there would be half a drum to go around the whole world.

Also, singers usually sit at there drum for most of the day. who cares if there playin crib, going over songs, bustin jokes. Gotta do something while yer sitting there. knowhumsayin?

I know exactly what you're saying because I'm a singer too. Some people posting on here don't and that's why they're making a big deal out of it. If you don't sing, you just wouldn't understand........

Here is a laugh for you guys. I have seen a lot of different stuff go on with singers at a powwow. But I have one that will make everyone gasp or laugh like hell!

I was contacted last year to provide a sound system for a powwow in Indiana. Our usual service includes powwow and flute music on CD before grand entry and between day and evening sessions. This "em" powwow wanted me to do a DJ powwow all on CD. You got it! No "LIVE" drums! No "LIVE" singers! I said "NO" along with a few choice words, (I was nice but didn't want to be).

Makes me wonder if we could do this. We can also use life size cutouts of dancers in the circle. No vendors needed. Just some vending machines with beads and trinkets. Maybe some disco lights for the evening session too.

Powwow in a "Can"!!!! What a concept!!!!!

As for the liquids, for me, it doesn't make a difference. I'm just used to drinking water when I sing. However, the p/w committee should provide the liquids, regardless, if you are a singer or dancer.
