The Dancing Video's Were Removed

And I will be happy to tell you why.

I removed the videos of the two young girls on this site because the point was made - many felt it was inappropriate. The young girls (and they are very young teenagers) did as they were told - bottom line. The fact that only they were shown - and no one else that was also "getting down" was unfair. These girls families were made aware of this being on this site, and these girls were disciplined. Point was made and we all need to move on.

Well ACE, I think that anyone with "Arena Director" under their screen-name would have enough sense not to post such a thing. But live and learn I guess.

At first glance, I was thinking you were wrong to do so. Then, remembering the ages of these girls being in there early teens, I believe you were correct in doing so. Some of the comments by two posters in particular, were disturbing and perverted, and that might stink of kiddy porn or at least to some weird people on here. Powwows.com definately wants to stay away from any hint of contributing to that. I'm glad if the families of these girls are made aware of the harm this kind of dancing will bring in the future, but it was right to remove the videos as to not cause any further harm to their daughters. There are way to many sickos out in the world these day.

I think it was a good move to remove the video from the site. These girls were beeing verbally attacked, by a lot of people. I am wondering why the thread on Cliff Mathias was up so long on powwows.com. when you register on this site we all agree to obide by all rules, and hatred is a part of those rules.
I seen two individuals being attacked on here for their actions that only them two know what happened forsure. We as visitors were to quick to judge these individuals on this site.
Their native background was challenged, and they were slandered for the whole world to see.
I hope in the future, that powwows.com will monitor these threads a little better.

We are'nt like paid or anything to monitor so please don't expect us (even though many of us are) to be here all day long. There's alot of members and a lot of posting that goes on here making it difficult sometimes to read EVERYTHING LOL!
if you see a thread that has aspects, language or anything that bothers you, click the report this thread to a moderator button so we can do something about it. Or if it's just one post, hit the triangle with the exclaimation point in it at the bottom of their name area and report it that way. And you can always PM any of us moderators for those areas and let us know that way as well.

AND i've seen many pws NOW that have these 'dances' so no one has any right to point their finger. do your research.

but i do agree that the young women were getting carried away.
