What a bummer, the ticket prices have gone up tremendously. I think last year I paid $18 for a two day pass, this year it is $31 for a two day pass with n-n-out privileges. The price for Friday only is $14.50 and for Saturday only is $16.50 and that does not include n-n-out privileges. What’s up with the huge increase? Are the Matthews getting greedier? And only one dollar goes to scholarship? Something to think about, at this 33% increase, next year might be $50 for a two-day pass. Geez!

I ordered my tickets, I am currently planning on where to rest my head right now, I could do the relative option or the pay the high deposit option. In any case I am still going see y'all there. Maybe even you powwowers can show this native the powwow after-bash, that would be nice.

That is why I'm only going Saturday. And staying until the lights go out. I would rather spend the extra money helping the poor vendors who have to charge an arm and a leg, cuz they have to pay an arm and a leg. LOL

I know that it would seem like these folks are acting greedy, but GON is a licensed NON-profit organization, and..."Legally, a nonprofit organization is one that does not declare a profit and instead utilizes all revenue available after normal operating expenses in service to the public interest."

There are a lot of people that work for GON, and to advertise, bring in head staff, etc, that all costs....Also, we all know that inflation is alive and well, so they are not profiting personally from this, as the IRS would be all over them.

I hope that we can keep this in mind when we look at the costs...
