Smokedancer, due to circumstances beyond our control, a decision was made to move Salamanca back 1 week - which conflicts with your hometown event, (where I, personally will be). So...they should have a website up & running soon to keep everyone informed... hopefully, someone will keep the new info posted here (?)

A lot of us have booked rooms for that weekend in Salamanca. It's hard to get rooms there anyways, but now, it looks impossible.

Well, that means that the Salamanca Pow Wow will be taking place at the same time as the Grand River Pow Wow. Usually, folks go to Salamanca, and then go to 6 Nations the next weekend.
Also, the Salamanca PWW has been on the same weekend for years.

So thats what the big stink is about.....

lots of folks planning on comin from the west cause they heard good things bout the pow wows up in seneca country now you embarrass your selves by arguing bout it just get it straight and solid and the pow wow will prevail but it has to happen soon so people can make plans need to post thunder falls dates salamanca and grand river categories and prize money ASAP thank you.

Someone take my room please, call myers hotel p-716-945-3153 it has a 24hr cancellaion policy and I don't wanna be stuck with paying for the room for the whole weekend, call before 6pm if possible. tell them you are taking the room for lindsay smoke. Thanks!!!!!!!!

When I got the notification e-mail about the Myers post I realized I never posted a thread about this years Seneca Allegany Pow Wow, which starting right now this weekend - the first Grand Entry is at noon Saturday so there is still time to come over and register!

The past couple of years we have had some date-changing issues, so just for the record, next year we are moving it back to the original 3rd weekend, July 18-20, 2008 - and we will try to keep it that way.
