Need Dancers Please

Hello
We are putting on a one night program in Eliazbethtown Kentucky. I know it doesn't sound like its that important but believe me when I say it is. Politics and a few bad eggs have nearly ruined the reputation of all natives in this area. I won't go into it further, but if you know E-town then you know what I am saying. That is why it is so important to bring the culture back to this area. We live in the state where the Trail of Tears began but most of the children and nearly all of the adults in this area have little or no knowledge about the Native culture that existed here for thousands of years. What I am looking for are dancers to perform at a one night event here in Elizabethtown at the State Theater. This will be in conjunction with a dinner and other entertainment. The program will be held on September 22, 2006. If there are any dancers in the area who are interested please let me know. We will provide dinner and gas money.
P.S. there will be no alcohol at this event and we will be bringing in a drum group to perform live for our dancers.

No thanks. Who wants to go to a white Indian club to "perform?"

Please forgive my use of the word perform. It was poorly chosen and was not intended to offend anyone. I simply wish to give back to the Natives in our area the chance to be heard once again. Unfortunately in the years past a few of the Apples around here have made this difficult, by asking for money from the community for projects and education then not delivering on what they had promised. That is a hard thing to overcome. This program is not a whitemans fancy dinner theater. I want the people of our area to meet the Natives of this community in a closer more personal way. It is a way to let the people in the area know that not all of our People are deceitful or unscrupulous. This, I am hoping, will open the door to other things including better education and a better understanding for everyone.
