The weather usually this time of year is cold... snow on the mtns, but i havent seen snow lately, last year it snowed when i arrived there, and it stopped and the sun was out all wknd! But its a awesome powwow, i will be thurr prolly, n Apache gold next weekend fo sho!!!!!

yeah i was on the committee for the past 3 years while i was a student there and i'm still in contact with some of my best friends that are still there this year and so far the planning is well underway.

I went to the one-dayer powwow out in Farmington this weekend, so didn't make it this year to this powwow? How was it??? Farmington was good, Southern Outlawz/Stone Creek rocked the HS. lol Woo-hoo I got a signed Southern Outlawz CD too!! YAY! lol

I didn't go anywhere, so it's up to the people that went to let us know how things went.

Way less, plus there were only a few drumgroups, Osprey, All Nations, Red Nation, R Crew and the host drums. SOZ came by on Sun. Anyways, Yeah, way dead than the previous year but it didn't stop me from having fun. The mens fancy special was nice. On the second song everybody stop towards the end and messed up but I didn't I nailed that sucker, but I didn't advance. In the lobby everyone was like "that's not fair, everyone who messed up were picked and you got the end and didn't" Well, I went to just dance anyway, I didn't get a number plus I pulled a muscle the night before at a powwow in Round Rock. And thats how it all went down in FLC. I didn't stay for the winners annoucment so I don't know the winners.

Not as many dancers and singers as I expected..... lots of spectators though! Rocky Park (Northern Host) and Otter Trail (Southern Host) rocked the house purdy goot!! I was definitely glad I went, event tho' the turnout was down from past years. The Wambli Ota student organization did well...... thanx 4 your gift to the people! The schedule was quick and smooth with no hang ups or down time. A fine lil' Pow-wow all the way around!!

Sounds like everyone had a good time @ Hozhoni Days. Props to my bros from R.P.!

Hey Grizzly, next time you see 50, ask him where we ended up?! I thought we were looking for a medicine man! But the trip was great.
