First Haliwa-Saponi Mid-Winter Mini Powwow January 28, 2006
This year the Powwow Planning Committee is trying something new and different, a winter mini-powwow. We're still working on the details, but it's going to be held on Saturday January 28, from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. We're planning on having some special contests, food, and fun. We've got a Powwow meeting on Monday, when we'll work out some more details. It is a fundraiser, so we are charging and admission, children be free for children under 4, $1.00 for children 4-12, and $2.00 for those 13 and older.

Dancing Eagle, I'm not sure how many drums we are expecting, but we do know that at least two, Stoney Creek and Red Earth will be there. Hopefully, we'll get some others that will come to have fun with us. You coming down?

Sounds great! I'm happy to hear you guys are working on something for Winter....i miss you guys! Please let us know the details of the specials....if you're in need of suggestions keep in mind the switch dance! Hahahaha! thanks for the info ;)

To make things a little more interesting.....
I found out from some guys here in the Raleigh & surrounding area that they are interested in showing their support as a drum. Heard one of the guys is Haliwa and looking forward to this more than the rest.

Well there will be a chicken at there for sure, I have been itching to dance this winter, "didnt feel like hibernating....." so I will be there....dont know about the drum though.
