NC New Year's Plans?

I posted this the other night - don't know what happened to it - but here goes again...

I know that last year there was a New Year's Rounddance at the Hawkeye Center in NC - what is happening this New Year's? What is everyone's plans?

I don't know where I will be ... but I pray that everyone has a safe happy holiday, wherever they are.

I've been asking around but so far no one knows of anything going on. Are there any pow wows in NC or VA that night?

I have tried and tried to get something going in Cherokee, but no luck.

Ace, you know everybody, I think you and singerdad should get something going....LOL

Can someone please step up to the plate???

There was a new year's eve dance in Cherokee back in 1998 I think and it was sparsely attended and there hasn't been one since.

Actually, the Raleigh/Durham area would be a prime place to organize such as event...sort of a pre-Science and Math pow wow LOL But, its too late in the year to work on a project like that. Maybe next year?

I will step up to the plate and say that I would be gald to assist in such a project for next year!You know how to reach me. Lets get a list of people who would be interested in helping out for next year...I'm already excited.

When do you suggest we meet at your house? Lets say about March? How long do you think we need to plan this event?

I'll most likely be spending my New Years at a Pow Wow in Cass Lake, MN.

Yeah - if it is to be planned for next year, March is a good time - although I have seen some pow-wows thrown together pretty quickly...

Where do you suggest we go for the pow-wow, Rainbow? Where do you want to see it happen?

see if the school down there by you will let you use the gym or something.

Hmmm....I could check into that - but I am not sure if that is the people's choice - location - location - location. But I can surely check into it....
