Hey, Tech.....
You should approach the DMP Committee about providing their sound system. Last year, their system sucked. It kept going in and out. The MC was telling the people around the drums that it was their cell phones that was creating the interference.
Just a suggestion. |

Sadly enough, the Denver Coliseum is a City of Denver Facility and they are required to use unionized companies. The committee apparently has no options other than to go with who the City contracts with. This also includes food stands and such. Bummer, eh? |

There used to be major drum hopping at Denver March. Some people liked it, some didn't. The committee decided to charge each drum $100 to set up. This discouraged some drums from setting up 3 drums with the same singers *L This is one major reason why there weren't the normal 70 drums. Drums come to share their songs. With 70 drums, some drum groups only got to sing 4 or 5 times during the whole weekend. Also each registered drum received a total of $250 day money for the entire weekend, if they made all their roll calls. $250 doesn't go very far with 6 to 12 singers these days. This year with the drum contest, the numbers should rise. I am planning on going up this year. Hope to see everybody there!
