2005 Pow Wow Season

Now that the 2005 pow wow season is beginning to wind down...

What was your favorite pow wow of the year?
For me, it was the first one I attended...the North Carolina School of Science and Math pow wow held in Feburary in Durham, North Carolina. Good drums, nice people, good feeling pow wow. Great way to start the season, and this year it ended up being the most enjoyable one I attended.

What pow wow did you not attend in 2005 that you are definately going to in 2006?
This would have to be Crow Fair...making plans now to attend this dance for the first time ever in 2006.

What was your best memory from 2005?
Watching my little girl going into the arena and dancing by herself. Watching her smile whenever the word pow wow is mentioned.

What pow wow did you attend in 2005 that won't make your 2006 schedule?
Frank Liske Park pow wow in Concord, NC

What new outfit parts do you have planned for 2006?
Will debut a new beaded cape.

Gon 2006

I'm not an avid powwower, but next year I'm going to the Gathering out in NM. Not just for the powwow though....The furthest west I've been is Colorado - so, I'm gonna be doing the touristy stuff too!!! YAY!!! saving my pennies.......
