Santa Fe Springs Pow Wow
Just a quick review:
This is the first time I have attended this Pow Wow. No admission was charged, which I really appreciated because I was unemployed for several years and now am on a very tight budget. Santa Fe Springs Heritage Park is a great place for a Pow Wow because the Park has a great exhibit of early Indian culture on site. November 5 was a very nice warm day, and all the vendors were friendly, informative, and helpful. Dancing Bear Indian Trader is one of my favorite vendors, and I purchased some beads from them. They were very friendly and helpful as always. Please go to their booth at any Pow Wows they attend, because they have a great selection of beads, books, leather, furs, etc., and are very knowledgeable. The Head Speaker was great! During the Grand Entrance he stated that Indians did not always perform it, that Buffalo Bill started it. I didn't know that! Thank you for teaching me something new! Please attend this Pow Wow, show your support, so that it will continue for many years. |
