No, I know this young girl and she would never do anything like that. She's very respectful and is a great young lady, awesome dancer.

yeah, i was put away for a while due to a bit of overzealousness on my part. i have just been let loose on my own recog....long story.....and there isn't anything around here at all i've been checking.
but the storie i was told is that those outfits were lost in the shuffle when everybody was switching cars....they thought that the outfits were here or there.....if you've noticed i haven't been around for a while to catch up on the bussiness at hand....okay?

How sad!

Maybe it was left on the side of the road when they were switching cars..... Maybe someone should check the ditches. And if someone found it, they could have pawned it.

Maybe you should put some ads in the local newspapers where it was lost. If white people found it, they probably wouldn't know where to find the owners.

How very sad!

you should report it lost/stolen to the police first of all - same thing kinda happened to my mother (didn't dance for a long time and didn't check on her stuff for awhile) and when she did check on it - some items were missing. that way you'll have recourse if they show up in a pawn shop ...

she found them in the pawn shop awhile later and because she didn't report them lost or stolen right away the pawn shop made her pay the amount of the pawn (cheap basturds!! - classic trading, nb, sk, 9902 - 20th ave). anyhoo it was the mother of one of my niece's so-called good friends that pawned it - we were thinking the friend took the items from my niece ... and that girl comes from a well known saskatchewan family ... wouldn't say well-respected but well-known ...

Sometimes boyfriends aren't quite as respectul. If she had one at the time you might ask some questions there. I have a friend who went through this with her daughter. The boyfriend 'really needed some cash' and the girl absolutely adored him. After reporting parts of her regalia stolen, she had to fess up when they were found in a pawn shop. Sad but true.

I really do feel bad for your delimna. I would be upset if my dance clothes went missing, I've worked on them for over 17 years now. Good luck on your efforts though. WW

This may sound kind of peculiar, but when I hear of things that are dear to a person and that person isn't taking care of themselves or their regalia, car, home, kids, whatever. The powers that be, will take them from you, until you're ready to have them back.

Now I'm not accusing you or anyone who's lost something to be a bad person or anything like that. But I would take this as a message that I would need to get back in harmony with myself and others around me, including your god.

This is simply another viewpoint and not to be taken as judgement in any way.

Good luck with the recovery (referring to the regalia, of course).

calicoquilts is an unknown quantity at this point
White Lodge? Is this Randy Phelans drum group? If so...then forget about your things. They are my relatives and I loaned some things to one of his daughters and never got them back. When I asked her to return the items...no luck and then went to him for help and got no where. I don't speak to them anymore. I don't loan things out anymore. Bad lesson trying to be helpful to a relative.

Wow..3 crow dresses? That is such a shame, those dresses are very personal. I would definantly file a report, that way if u do find em at a pawn shop you have proof that u filed them as stolen. Also, like someone else here said, if u have pics that would help. Best of luck-

That's a bummer, good luck trying to find them, it would be awfully hard to do that though. Very hard.
