It looks like March 2006 will be a busy month for the Chinle Community Center:

Canyon Echoes Powwow - March 2-4, 2006
Whispering Wind Powwow - March 16-17, 2006
YouthFest Powwow - March 18, 2006

Chinle will only depress you if you don't know how to make frybread with your eyes closed because of all the dust being blown in your eyes.

Who doesn't like crunchy frybread? I think the dust is the secret ingredient. It really helps soak up the grease around the styrofoam bowl.

Who will start the thread: "Which frybread stand is the bestiestest all badders like at Chinle flea market?

I driving to Chinle @ a 100+ mph on the round rock straight-away and didn't know where I was yet had to slow down cause there was this huge Wall of Dust blowing across the road AAAND JUST ONE SECOND IN THERE'S THE "CHINLE" CITY LIMIT SIGN, GEEZ, We won the tourney though.

This powwows are great minus the stupid "If you leave, you have to pay to get back in!"

There will be no dust inside the Community Center for all three powwows in March. The new "pavilion" won't be ready until late April or early May, so committees have to deal with the ever-shrinking floor space in the Community Center at least through all of March.

I've always hated the "Once you leave, you must repay" policy.

And "Everyone MUST pay"

Plus, what's up with the tarp on the gym floor?

Not too bad of an echo in there, just a bit musty from all that frybread grease slapped over jawner fiveheads.

I'm one big jawn, and I'll share some advice to prove it:

Get chummy chummy with the clipboard-holding big chick, make it seem like you give a hoot about her, and bask in Head Staff credential glory!!!

Oh! And another "secret" the readmission mark on your wrist is the never-changing "X". Black when you first pay, and Red when you reenter.

Can't wait until they hold the first powwow in the Chinle Sports Complex

we were over down that way this evening because ganado played vball there. naturally we won, but we also spotted the new chinle stadium. its gonna be a nice one for sure but not ganado nice..lol *im really biased*
