Jack Family Update

Daryl is now with his daughter. This is too much to bear. I hope Willow is as strong as she can ever be. So sorry for your losses and may the Creator lift his head to shine on you and help you through these difficult days ahead. Be Strong and prayers to all the people out there who knew this wonderful couple who were at their prime of their lives.

I-15 crash claims another victim

By The Standard Staff - 08/10/2005

The male adult driver of the pickup truck that ran into a tractor-trailer Monday morning on Interstate 15 north of Butte died at St. James Healthcare Wednesday, said Sgt. Greg Watson of the Montana Highway Patrol.
The driver's name was not released.

Maliah Morningstar Jack, 4, also perished in the accident. She died on the scene after being ejected. All the people in the car — two adults and three children — were from Fort Hall, Idaho. Conditions of the others were not available Wednesday.

No one was wearing a seatbelt, Watson said.

The pickup truck, heading south near the Woodville exit in Elk Park, hit the back of the tractor-trailer, which was moving slowly, Watson said.

Highway patrolmen were still investigating the scene Wednesday, Watson said, and they hope to reconstruct the accident within a few days.

A quote from DANTS........
I know you were basing your info. on the media, but you shouldn't pass info unless it's from the family. We need to stay positive here and keep pray'n for Daryl and Willow. I just talked to Willow and she's still asking for prayers and Daryl is still with us. She's not ready to even think about life without Daryl. There are thousands of us out here......if we pull together and pray these prayers will be POWERFUL. Let's not give up hope.

We apologize for the incorrect information that was given to us by a highway patrolman.
We are running a correction Friday.

It was an extreme mistake yes, but lets focus our energy on prayers for our Brother. Much love to everyone...

God that's sad. Willow don't deserve this. I hope that she gets stronger with every passing day though.

darryl jack..a last thought

Daryl Dewayne Jack
May 27, 1980 – August 12, 2005

Daryl Dewayne Jack walked on to join his beloved baby daughter “Purdee” in the Spirit World on August 12, 2005 in Butte, Montana. Daryl was born on May 27, 1980 in Provo, Utah. He was Diné and born into the Water Flows Together and born for the Blackwood Streak/Bear clan; his maternal grandfather is of the One Who Walks Around clan and paternal grandfather is of the Honeycomb clan.

Daryl was a renowned World Champion Men’s Fancy Dancer. He was loved and admired for his style, showmanship, athletic agility and leadership. He traveled extensively throughout the North American powwow circuit sharing his love of dance. He befriended many people throughout his travels. He was most respected for being a loving and caring husband, son, and brother, and an exceptional father who was very devoted to his children.

Daryl received an associates degree in liberal arts from Haskell Nations University in May, 2005. He and his wife Willow recently moved back to Idaho and had planned to attend Idaho State University. While, attending Haskell, he was named to the academic honor roll and excelled as a student. He was an active member of the Native American Church, and also maintained and passed on his traditions and culture to his children. He enjoyed creating cultural regalia and crafts and was exceptional artisan of beadwork, featherwork, and singing. Additionally, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and the outdoors.

Daryl is survived by his wife Willow Rose Abrahamson Jack and a son Nakeezaka, his father and mother Lee and Ladybird Jack, brothers Brando, and Lee Jr., sisters, Denawe, Prarie Rose, Shaundiin, Sage Jack and Shoshona of White Cone, Arizona. A daughter, Maliah Morning Star “Purdee” Jack, preceded him in death.

Sunrise services were conducted on Tuesday, August 16, 2005, at the Darrell and Rose Ann Abrahamson resident on Pokibro Lane, Ft. Hall, Idaho. Daryl was buried at the Gibson cemetery in Ft. Hall, Idaho.

“We are blessed to have known your style. The way you did your spins, the way you moved your bustles, the way you kept in rhythm. It is time to rest now… You have danced your final dance for us.”
