~13th Annual Sounds of Thunder Mountain Pow Wow - Kaibab Paiute Heritage Celebration~
August 20 & 21, 2005
Kaibab Piaute Indian Reservation, Pipe springs AZ(Just west of Fredonia, AZ) Contest Pow-wow-Registration opens 11:30 AM on Saturday. Grand Entries Saturday 1:00 PM & 7:00 PM. Sunday 11:00 AM Southern Paiute Circle Dance Singing Contest-Registration Saturday 12:00 noon. Southern Paiute Juried Art Show-Saturday 9:00 AM Fun run/walk Saturday 7:00 AM. Free feast. Handgame. Demonstrations by the Kaibab Paiute Elders Saturday 11:00 AM. Horseshoe Tournament Saturday 10:00 AM. Fishing Derby Saturday 8:00 AM. The public is invited to attend this event. Please bring your own chairs. NO drugs or alcohol allowed. PRIZE MONEY: Adult Dance Categories: 1st-$350 2nd-$250 3rd-$150 Drum Contest: 1st-$1000 2nd-$500 3rd-$300 For more information contact Brenda Drye at 643-7245. Who's all going? |
