Thunder Falls Location

Looking for feedback regarding this year's location - please be honest!!![/

Last year seemed like there was no shade and it was hot! Didn't go this year, but heard it was better!

......the tent was good but justa little too small.....i think the powwow committee should start thinking about buying a big tent that they can use for both the powwows...thunder falls and salamanca .......i heard alot of people talking about how spongy the dance floor was.......the ashphalt was steaming hot as soo as the sun hit it.......good setup of a powwow tho.....The Committee did a good job all weekend! ..... as for the Iroquois singing contest.......if the committe was planing on having another iroquois singing contest for next year......take out the singles and have a GROUP singing contest......4-6 singers to each group and singing all weekend and not anyone knowing who wins until the end of the powwow when the winners are announced .........Each of the 3 or 4 sessions would feature a different set of social dances.........and this way we would have No problems....hehehehehe...................it would be nice to go back to HIDE PARK but with a big tent and bleachers ....it seems to be nice and big and open at the park....and i like dancing on grass too....LMAO

PS......i would like to thank the Seneca Nation and The Thunder Falls powwow committee for giving me ( Cam Hill ) The Honor and the opportunity of singing smoke dance @ their 2nd annual Thunder Falls Powwow.................NYA:WEH

The tent idea is good...I think that being right down town was nice and convenient. The asphalt was hot and causes your mocs to blow out quicker. Grass is better. Maybe the Casino should consider taking out the asphalt and making the lower part grass.....considering they have free summer concerts too. Or what about Goat Island. Or what about the old Turtle? There use to be some great powwows there.

The BIG TENT idea is an ace one cause........the seneca powwows committees can use this tent at both their powwows ....THUNDER FALLS & SALAMANCA POWWOW...........so if the rain comes out......then you can just keep the ball rollin'.......

Only suggestion I have is to not have it on the second weekend of July... since that's the weekend of my nation's annual picnic and field day (160th this year) It's kinda hard to enjoy both ya know.
