Hand drum contest...whatever you would like to sing...round dance-49...just giver' handdrum is friday night at 6 ish I believe. GOOD LUCK. Holiday Inn Express is just too full sorry. There are still a few cabins left at Highbanks...they have electric & water & 4 cots for $40/night...I'm cooking breakfast on Sunday monring there Smoker...lots of hot sauce in your eggs to get you movin' after the long night(!!!) otherwise there's a few new hotels in Olean or if nothing else....tell Smoker14 to wash his sheets!!!

No grand entry Friday night...handdrum & singing contests start around 6 p.m. - Northern & Southern can register Friday night & Saturday morning...grand entry is at NOON sharp!!!

A couple more days... Niagara falls was great so I know Salamanca will be great also :) Don't forget the split Drum & Dance categories everybody!! Salamanca's always had a good rep and it's only bound to get better with the changes/additions we've made.
To everyone who's asking for hotel/motel info. Olean, NY has added a lot more hotels (Hampton, Super 8, Comfort Something or ever) LOL Try there or else Jamestown, NY. Also there a hotel in Salamanca called the Dudley-I have no info on that place tho :( Also free camping behind the Community bldg. on the rez. |

hey i need some info on that hotel called "THE DUDLEY-INN" PHONE # asap!........and i'm really looking forward to entering that iroquois singing contest if it's still gonna happen.........we stayed at that dudley place a few years ago and it seemed pretty good!..

THIS JUST IN...........
IROQUOIS SINGING CONTEST IS CANCELLED Instead we have added the Team dance, Drum Singer Smoke Dance & another one....I'll letcha find out what it is there :) A few more days.......Also Friday night @ the Iroquois Boxing Matches will feature a special appearance by the famous boxer---> Baby Joe Mesi . These are actual sanctioned matches that will be occuring under the boxing tent on the grounds. Also going on at the same time is the Hand drum competition and the the Iroquois Social over in the dance arena. All friday night activities are FREE -so come on out if you get in town. Dudley (716) 945-2955 - $109/night / DeSoto Motel in Olean (716) 373-1400 (approx. 25 min. away) $55/night - as of 2:30 p.m. Wed. we have 3 electric & water cabins left at highbanks @ $90 for weekend for pow wow....
