Ok, I'm gonna post this cuz no one seems to know what the hell is going on with this here powwow.....Who's headstaff??? and when is it?????? I been hearing rumors on the host drum (us) but nothings definate so if someone out there knows then let me know!!!! LOL!!! Talk about being left in the dark....

Betcha they have the same head staff as the last three years ... with no southern host drum, but with only a head gourd singer. It seems like they do this to cut down on the number of rooms they make available for the entire drum group.

Burbz, you should try and convince your people to go.........*L*.........not the rainbow group you belong to but your pws group....*L*.....ok, I've been told we are host at this powwow but the lady Pauline Jackson has not returned any of my calls so we'll see what happens.......

50, if the committee asks you to bring your own pa, make sure they pay you for it as well as being host drum. You can be certain that they want to hook in the MC and the southern host if there is one. Also bring plenty of long mic cables if you don't have a wireless mic for the other drums. Make jay run drag around the cables as he runs from drum to drum. It's gonna be a hot one!

So All Ya'll Powwow Peoples Keep The Weather In Mind For This Upcoming Shindig Of Gathering Of Drunk Ndn's....aaaayyyyeeee!!!!....naw....j/k. About The Drunk Ndn Part. But Hey....that'll Happen Later On After The Powwows Over, Ya Kno? The Ones That Indulge In This Type Of "gathering"....lol. Anyhoessss....laterssss!!!!

Holay... went to this one last year... if this year is anything like last year... I'll sleep just fine knowing I missed it! It was HOT HOT HOT!!!! I came back looking like I'd gotten lost herding sheep!!

They need to move this one INSIDE w/ AC or at least to a cooler time of the year... too hot in July to have an outdoor powwow in Camp Verde.

Other Suggestions to the Committee: Get TT to do sound!!

You all have fun there... I'm sitting it out

I AGREE WITH THE LAST POST PROVIDER. HAVE T.T. DO THE SOUND ALL WEEKEND LONG. KNOWING THE POWWOW COMMITTEE, THEY'LL PROVIDE UNWORTHY SOUND SYSTEM JUST LIKE LAST YEAR. ANYHOESSSS....THATS MY FRICKIN 2 CENTS FOR MY INPUT AND ANOTHER $100 FOR THE KEGGER OF BREWSKY FOR THE 49!!!!....AAAAYYYYEEEE!!!! LATERSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!

I just got back from Camp Verde ... was at the Gathering of the Pais all weekend. Let me tell you, I am sun and wind burned! My lips, nose and cheeks are beginning to peel today. I wish I had a big tube of sun blocker and a chap stick while I was baking in the sun.

From little bits of information here and there, it sounds like the Camp Verde powwow was almost cancelled. The contact numbers on the flier are either disconnected or belongs to someone else who knows didley about the powwow.

Does anyone have any current information? Like headstaff and such?

why am i not surprised! LOL ^^^ its crazy too that they have that big a$$ billboard on the freeway that advertises the powwow!!!! if the pw is not happening they should take the billboards down!! but hey...thats an az powwow for you ..unorganized committee members!!! CHEAP!!!
