Post Falls Idaho Pow Wow!!
This will be my first time attending this highly rated pow wow! I just wanna know who ever went and can tell me some stories...ya know, like whats the snag rating? is it good? any good drump groups go? are animals allowed? is it tobacco free? lot of attendance? whose going?

Oh man it's been sooo long since I have been to the post Falls PW...I used to live in Post Falls...I miss it soooo much!!!! From what I remeber it was prttey good...but it's been long time.....shoot I would love to go if I could. It's at the grayhound track if I remeber correctly.

went last year, man it was packed! had to sit in the bleachers, bring your own chairs if ya want, outside powwow, of course its tobacco free, outside powwow, durin the day its hot/humid, cool at nite sometimes cold...dunno bout animals?? hmm havnt seen any...psht those horses are most likely welcomed lol...drummers put on 49'z have to ask around bout those from drum dudes another place to snag@em 49'z or the powwow, I see people snaggin everyone, supposedly/hopefully the single ones...lol.You can also camp there, if not better make reservations, might be long time to find a motel around,better do it now...LOVE EM DANCERS/SINGERS/SO LIVELY THERE/
 IT'S WHAT KEEPS THE POWWOW GOING, ONE OF THE BEST POWWOWS IN THE WEST

every1 i know has had a problem with one of the hotel there... um...um motel 6 or super 8 i cant remember.

^^^^lol thaz cuz they cant handle all tha CRAZY NDNZ! lol....think they have rooms trashed and tv's broken....
The Coeur d'Alene Tribe is a great host and the powwow is pretty kool....its not that HOT...lol

Post Falls is a small town they have only a few motels there Hoiday inn, Howard Johnson, Redloin Templins (fancy). There used to be a cheep place call Kamps Motel, not sure if it still there....they fill up fast ....but you could stay in Spokane it's about 35- 40 mins away...or stay in Couer d'Alene it's even closer.

Yeah...I got a story.
I went two years ago. I wasnt dancing, it was too hot for me. The building is nice and cool though. Well, on Saturday night, all the power went OUT! Both in the building and in the feild! I was out doing intertribals in the dark and ran into a grass dancer...then got elbowed in the face...not such a good idea. I got stuck selling raffle tickets the whole day. Me and Vonna found a dead cokroach and put it in the bin with the money...it was funny! Then, I got in this fight with this dude over the belt being Sterling Silver or nickle. I said Sterling Silver (because it WAS) and he kept saying nickle so we didnt sell him none. Did anyone remember the power going out? |

^^^LMAO..thaz a crazy story! haha....yeah i remember the power outage....
I know the year before last it kind of sucked because the ground was not all grass...but that issue couldnt be helped and i know the committee was furious that the greyhound park had a dirt bike race or something....hauled in all that dirt and made for a really dusty powwow! LOL Just one word of advice....BE EARLY FOR GRANDENTRY! cuz no rollin in late to this one...you either get stuck in traffic sometimes backed up to the freeway....or when they close the track for the horse parade...TALK ABOUT STRESS! they need an ndntime entrance.....LOL
