Drum Results were as follows.......if I miss it up correct it....

1. Eagle Creek
2. Native BOys
3. Rocky Park
4. Straight up
5. Twin Eagle
6. Shadow Prey
7. Bow Guard
8. Callin Eagle
9. Pumpkin Vine (????) I think thats what their name was
10. Sacred Wheel

In womens Jingle Candace McCabe took first.......Sequoia Monroe took Third in Mens trad. Tashina Chitwood took first in girls trad......Naomi Paulis (sp?) took second in womens fancy.....

In the Eldon Irwin Grass Dance Special, Gene Chitwood won it.....umm, oh yeah Troy Becenti took first in the Chicken Dance......and thats all I could remember...I was busy trying to keep the dust out of my face.........the sound was blasting as usual with Technos getup kinda loud in my area where I couldn't hear myself think but all good just the same.........

the midnight express crew this weekend were some WEAK CHEAP BASTURDS for doing what they did. if they werent commited to this powwow as a host they should have all went elsewhere. if they never come back to the NNF that would be okay.

In this case, there was a heavy metal show no more 150 feet from the powwow grounds! They were drawing so much power with their bass amps which caused circuit breakers to trip on our side. During the evening sessions, you can actually feel the power drain. The committee needs to look at dedicated 20 amp circuits and also ask to relocate the tent for the music show elsewhere next year. Otherwise, we had a very decent turn out, especially friends and relatives who you only see once or twice a year.

Thanks go out to all the people who brought me food and drinks!

I never left the grounds all weekend so I avoided the traffic big time.

no wonder you stink.........LOL!!! jk bro..........we left sunday morning to my wifes' sis-in -laws house in tse bonito and showered there.......the metal show was stupid as hell because they had some band on that really sounded like shyt...*L*.......all you could hear was someone gagging on the mike....like they swallowed it something....I had the opportunity to watch my bros though, they got it going on even though their guitarist missed up on a riff.....LOL!!!!

wow!!!! Sounded Like It Was A Good Turn-out For This Ndn Gathering Of Spear Chucking Skindians. I Was Supposed To Be There This Past Wknd But Didnt Make It At All. Ended Up Working Late Friday Til 9pm. Didnt Wake Up Til Like Around Noon Time On Saturday. Plus On Top Of That I Thought I Had Enuf Cash For The Wknd, But Apparently I Did Not At All. But Anywho....congrats To All The Winners For This Years Shindig. Anynavahoessss/anynavawhoressss....laterssss!!!!

I battled a cold all weekend, but from the start on Friday I made the best of it. We were hoping that it wouldn't rain, thankfully it didn't. It started gettting very windy Friday night. LOL! Woke up to our tent on our faces, but 50 was fast asleep to even notice. I kept waking up to them bangers too! All I heard was. Roooooooooooooaaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr ! all night. Congrats to all the winners, it was a good powwow. I didn't know Midnight was messing around, but I walked over to their drum at the closing of the powwow, seemed like they were having a good time. 50 sat in with them for awhile, but didn't notice it. I met Kiyanni Mom too. I was trying to figure out who was Injun boy, but I gave up. THe grass competition was awesome with the fireworks and all. I'm still trying to recover from this cold, I had to miss my classes today. I didn't get a chance to walk over to the carnival or any event, because I was sick as a dog. Glad I'm home to my warm house.

WHAT WAS UP WITH THE WINNER OF THAT TRUCK? SHEESH, GLAD I DIDN'T BUY A TICKET.
