See you tomorrow!
Hey, All!
First grand entry tomorrow night at 7 p.m. There will be a full schedule -- Junior, Teen & Golden Age exhibition...Adult and Sr. Adult contest go-round...Chicken Dance special...Hand Drum contest first go-round. I've been checking the weather on the hour and looks good so far. A little muggy tomorrow (85)...nice on Saturday (82) and Sunday (80). There might be a shower on Saturday night, but doesn't look like anything serious. IF we need to move, we'll be moving to the Turtle Lake high school, where there's ALOT more room than the casino events center. Vendors are pulling in...head staff is arriving....we're just finishing up the last few details. Looking good!! Oh, by the way, Wade Baker can't make it this weekend....Kevin Haywahe has taken his place. We've also signed on Ron Goodeagle to be an arena director. HOPE TO SEE YOU ALL TOMORROW NIGHT AT ST. CROIX!!! |

I wish I could go to St. Croix......long haul from Billings.....plus I'm still workin'. Maybe I'll go out there for Prairie Island. I like the idea of having Jr. & Sr Adults and Northern and Southern. What other pow-wows do that?

Sorry, won't get to make it this year. We have had alot of deaths here in Oklahoma so I hope the committee understands this in case not alot of southern people show this year. I would like to thank the committee for including southern categories in their celebration and wish that they would continue to do so in the future.
Please keep our people in prayer down here and will hopefully see the all the Minnesota and Wisconsin crew at P.I. in a few weeks. My husband is a NAC leader here and we are obligated to tend to our community right now. Those of you who know Bonnie and Gary Tomahsah, thier mother is very ill and in need of prayer. She is in ICU here in Lawton OK, so please send your good prayers and thoughts our way(she is one of our community elders). We are staying close to home to support them with prayer this weekend. Good dancing and singing and remember what the old people say" Dance and sing for those who can no longer do so" |
