Just a heads up to y'all who stopped by Niagara Falls last year-it's a whole new committee with a whole new points system so there shouldn't be no 2 hours of ties like last year :P Everythings been redone so it should be good this year! Also, Salamanca,NY pow wow is the following weekend and it has also been redone-ya know just in case your making your powwow trail already. Have fun!

ah duh... head staff is at the Quality Inn(!) but: host hotel is the Quality Inn (right across the street from the pow wow) Call (716) 282-1212, ask for Rashawn and use code: "Pow Wow Gold" - these rooms are $129/night.

Other less expensive hotels in the area: Days Inn Riverview-1-866-855-9831 $59 single/$64 double-cut off date 6/24 - and there are cheaper ones on the "strip" also..little motels, etc.

I just booked my room for this powwow.
Just so everyone knows.

The hotel: Days Inn RIverview, is NOW called "Fallside Hotel And Conference Center"
They do have the powwow rate, as mentioned before.

In case you still haven't caught it-the powwow is in a diff location this year. It's located right in front of the casino. I checked it out yesterday and it looks pretty good-vendor & spectator wise. The dance area has to be fine tuned, but should be pretty good and might be located under a big top. When you arrive in town the DANCE/DRUM & VENDOR REGISTRATION will be in the main lobby of the casino in front of the BEAR'S DEN auditorium. There will also be a designated parking area for dancers/singers with shuttle service to/from registration and the pow wow. There will be very rustic (meaning no showers, no electric, and on concrete)camping area designated behind the casino. I also heard that the Days Inn/Falls side is sold out completely... sooo remember there are lots of motels along the strip that are much cheaper than the mainstream hotels. Also VENDORS: there are still openings available but the deadline is fast approaching. Vendors area is in a prime location and there is a designated eating area located under shade for eating.
Also don't forget, Salamanca NY is the following wkd. and if your interested in sticking around there will be camping available in Salamanca at the Highbanks campground (cabins/tents/RV). I hope to keep ya more updated as I receive more info.
