Yeah the Europeans love powwows. When I was working in England, the camp I worked at had a Wild West Show that included a powwow. Although I didn't see the powwow, I passed by the area during lunch and the troup went all out. Like Whome said, you'ld have a hard time telling the real article form their fakes.

My comment is on the beadwork. I was told by this one person who travels a lot that those European women in the countries around Poland do a lot of northern style women's beadwork. You know, those fully beaded tops. He even said that some of the Indian women here in the states pay them to make their regalia for them. Now I don't know how true this is but I was shocked to find that out. Now if anyone knows someone over there who can do this, I'd like to know, LOL. NOT!!

Historian, *L I'm on the Denmark website! It looks like they took some pictures at the Gathering. __ On a different note. I was in London last month. I was saddened to hear that Kim Oakshot recently passed away. Kim was one of the first "English powwow enthusiasts" in the UK. I met him a long time ago in London and he was very good to us.

I was impressed and glad there was powwows over there in Europe. I have many family members in Military and some have married over there and stayed. Also, I have met some European Indians on Powwows.com here and they live over there. My daughters want to live in Germany or Holland where we have family and very good friends. My husbands family is from Switzerland and Milan, Italy area. He is Native American and Swiss-Italian. I think it is good to have friends in other places. Gotta go to Physics class, hope you all had a Good Easter. Just waiting for the next Powwow in CA, NV, WA
