Hozhoni Days Powwow

Hey Everybody,
Anyone is going to the Hozhoni Days powwow @ Durango next weekend (march 25-27)???
I am going and I have never been there... if you've been there in the past.. give me the scoops about it... did ya have a good time? and blah blah...

It's gonna be a dandy, I just seen the flyer and well there's good singing for sure cause friggin' Mystic River is showing up as host Northern!!! yeaah!!! *cheers* I hope there's room for me at the drum! Better turn in my leave slip now *laughs*

Yeah i heard about the drum groups makin it... and u better put in your leave slip now cause the powwow is next weekend... lol... so is it an indoor or outdoor event?

It's an indoor powwow on the campus of Fort Lewis College up on the hill, pretty easy to get there. Yep, I haven't been there in ages, maybe I will check it out. Yeah, put in your leave slip like yesterday. Have a safe trip.

its indoors in a medium sized basketball gym. the floor space goes real quick soo if you want chair space get there early. there hasnt been much to eat except for the local concession. theres usually some good drums that show up. and yeah ill be there somewhere..

So give up some more info. You know Southern drum, Head man/woman, grand entry times, contest money for womans and teens.
I never been and from what i hear this one seems like its a good one to go to.

really! MR is host drum?? i thought it was Tha tribe?

they have different things listed on their flyer and the calendar here! LOL and YB two years a in row?? why YB?? why not omaha whitetail??

OMG, I mixed the drums up, yeah it's Tha Tribe, Jeremy and the Haskell clan. yeah.
I'm sitting here planning on who I'm singing with this year and where, so yeah Tha Tribe in Durango, White Lodge at Gathering (if they show), and Mystic River iiiiinnn uuhhh *thinking* geez, I think it is still in Durango or Dulce? And but when hmm..? I'll have to roam through the pow wow flyers AGAIN! hmm and Mandaree Singers at Little Shell or was it White Lodge *laughs* I'll phone KJ w/ My Stick River and figure where the hell they're jammin' at.

All this and I'm still not "touring" yet, just roaming.

Hey who knows about a powwow in Farmington, NM April 9th?

I just seen that flyer on the NAIM powwow in DC, and it looks all wicked, my unca Jonathan as Head Drum, Spike, Dale, and a real familiar crew. Can't wait then I can finally do more than sing, shop and spectate because I'll be dancing again finally, got a whole new rig set up, so should be kicking it this year, at least by Little Shell. Geez Burbz I should just sendyou an email rather than typin' all this. *L* aight oh well, Tha Tribe it is, oh yeah and Reuben Littlehead's gonna be there right?
