At Niagara Falls, I hear, they want the dancers to dance from Canada, across the bridge, down 3-4 blocks and into the arena. Wow, the golden age dancers are going to have a hard time. Especially if it's hot.

Thanks for judging those of us who enjoy hitting a contest pow wow once in awhile. Most of us who do also hit all the community and traditional dances too.

I find that odd Kiwenzhi that they want the dancers to do that... Border Crossing celebrates the Jay Treaty /Treaty of Canandaigua and our right to pass freely back and forth across the border as haudenosaunee people.... The parade every other year goes from either the Canadian side to the American side or vice versa depending on the year. And this year I thought it was supposed to go to the canadian side.. but anyhow, members of the confederacy walk this parade as well as tribal representatives like the princesses (title for young woman who represents the community, not a powwow princess) and chiefs and clanmothers. It's our celebration, not a powwow thing.
