Points don't start for dancing or drums until Saturday, I believe. That is how it has always been.
Friday is more or less an open night and then they are having the switch dance special.
This is a good pow wow. I was going to go but my daughter is graduating high school and we are going to have ceremonies for her on Saturday and a feast on Sunday so......there will be next year! LOL

This would be an even better powwow if they would spend the money that's given to the entertainers, storytellers and etc to add more places to the contests. No one really listens to them anyway. I wish they would put the entertainers in the lounge cause when they perform in the dance area, it kinda kills the dance mood. These are nice people and I'm sure they do everything they can to make us all feel welcome and they do but.........this is powwow. Entertainment of this kind and pow wow don't mix.
