50cal, I've been doing some work at Torrance and I will be making additional trips out there in the coming months. I hope to make it to one of the powwows held in and around the Long Beach/Torrance areas. I just got back from there yesterday.

I like the powwow. It's grown over the years. If you go, set up your shade early. I mean real early, like noon on Friday. Seems like there's less and less room every year.

405 FWY Exit Bellflower. If coming from the North, you'll make a left off of the freeway on to Los Coyotes and make a right onto Bellflower. You'll see the school about half a mile up. Ignore the first powwow parking signs (those are for spectators) and come all the way up the hill. Park in the last parking lot on the hill (you'll see other dancers, indin cars there). Be sure to get there early because as I said before, this powwow gets bigger every year.

What's the direction from the South I-5 from San Diego, that's all we need and we'll go from there. What's the town or place, we'll just log onto Mapquest.com?????

5 North to the 405 North, exit 7th Street. You can only go one way on 7th and it will put you right in front of the school and adjacent to dancer parking.

I might be able to make it to this one. It's either this one or san carlos. Red bull or cali. That's a tough call. The week after that is denver. Do they still have indio pw the week after denver? They used to.

The powwow is pretty good since a dancer only needs to worry about one contest session for the whole powwow. Adults will probably contest on Sunday only with the teens on Saturday and specials scattered throughout.

This was a good pw. My family and I went out there to support my brothers/nephews drum..the Northern Host, Rocky Park...it was good to hear them sing again! I sure miss hearing my brothers/nephews sing...Rocky Park singers did a great job and my brother was invited to sing with them for the weekend and that was cool, so we followed him out there! :tongue Nice weekend, kinda chilly but still good ....i'm still tired from this trip!!! LOL got home around 4 am this morning! LMAO!!
