I just wanted to know who will be attending tha Chicago Pow Wow this weekend at the UIC Pavilion? I must say that tha Youngbird Songers are really EXCITIED to coming here. I hope everyone can make it and I hope to see everyone there. If you would like some information check tha pow wow calendar.

Chicago powwow has been around for many years and is always a good one. It doesn't need all the hype like the kind generated here on this website.
Usually around 250-300 dancers. Not really big, but there's some good dancers that go there.
Whatta heck, I'm gonna give it a shot. Lotta big name golden agers there! If I hit, I hit. If I don't, so what? I'll have a good time, anyways.

There was no info on this powwow posted on the powwow calender!!!Can you please post All the info....I want to go but Ive got to decide between Dakota Magic and this one and some info would help...plus it would help others who are having the same probs..thanx

Hey all...whoever is going to Chicago this weekend, could you please help spread a word for my friend? There is usually a powwow in Adrian, Michigan the weekend AFTER Chicago pow-wow. This pow-wow is NOT happening, but somehow got inadvertently printed in Indian Country Today as still being on. Anyway, tell all the dancers/singers there that ADRIAN POWWOW IS NOT HAPPENING NEXT WEEKEND.

Well, here is tha information. Tha place is University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) Pavilion. Tha address is 1150 W. Harrison Ave. Tha time are as follows; Friday gates open at 5pm. Grand Entry is at 7pm. Saturday gates open at 10am. Grand Entry is at 1pm and then again at 7pm. Sunday tha gates open at 10am and Grand Entry is at NOON. Host Drums are Wisconsin Dells and Youngbird. Head Veteran is George Martin Arena Director is Shann Maupin. Head Male Judge is Adrian Klein and head Female Judge is Debbie Plain. Over $18,000 in PRIZE MONEY!! Specials are Men's Traditional, Women Jingle Jr's Girls' Fancy, HAnd Drum contest and Poetry SLAM (all ages)
