Map/Directions to Great Salt Water (Jacksonville) Powwow

Hey there everyone.

We've put up a link to a map of where the fairgrounds are in Jacksonville, NC AND we've put up a link so people can get point-to-point driving directions to the powwow.

PLUS, there should be signs up all over the place as soon as you get anywhere near Jacksonville pointing to the powwow.

LESS THAN A WEEK AND A HALF AWAY!!!

Also... people can find host hotel information on the website.

I've heard a couple of area hotels are all booked up for the weekend.

Evidently, there are a bunch of people who are going to be staying down at the beach. The Ramada Inn down there is all sold out as of today.

Sooo...

I just heard that Red Stone from Ontario called and they're coming down for the powwow.

Wonder who else will come to town for this one?

I heard Cau-tah-noh Jrs. are coming too... but at this point, that's pure gossip, because I haven't personally talked to any of the guys from Cau-ta-noh. As I'm sure y'all already know, they're from here in NC of course. :)

Yes, we are all very excited! I pray that all goes well with everyone's travels, and pray some more for a successful Pow-Wow! This is a good time for meeting new people and seeing old friends. Tomorrow is the day!

Hey Nick Hancock,, I see you are just as spiteful, resentful and bitter as ever,for someone who no longer even goes to any events here in NC it seems you want to do a lot of critisizing.

Ms. Skaroreh, I am looking forward to being there this weekend. There are quite a few native vets and active duty from Fort bragg and the 82nd Airborne who have expressed interest in attending. One of my friends who just retired as Staff SGT, is from Pine Ridge stationed at Ft.Bragg and I believe has the distinction of being the first woman from Pine Ridge to have fought in a combat zone (IRAQ) If she does come we would like to extend some honors to her for her dedication of service with your commitee's permission.

As a matter of fact, we'd like to pay special tribute to any Natives who have seen combat in Iraq or Afghanistan... or at any other time for that matter. So if anyone is aware of any vets coming to this powwow who have been in combat zones during war time, please PM me or e-mail me with their information.
