Alabama-Coushatta Tribe of Texas celebrating its Sesquicentennial and inviting you to be apart of the Celebration & Contest Pow-wow.

Feb 17-19 2005

Thursday Night Traditional Night
Friday Nite-Gourd Dance 5pm--Grand Entry 7pm
Saturday 11am Gourd Dance---Grand Entry 1pm
Sat Evening
Gourd Dance 5pm---Grand Entry 7pm

At the Alabama-Coushatta Ballpark(in case of rain Alabama-Coushatta Veteran's Pavilion) HWY 190 Between Livingston and Woodville Texas. Reservation is located 90miles NE of Houston Texas.
Four Places
Contest in All Catagories---Tiny Tots,Jr Division, Teen Division, Adult Men-Women & Golden Age Catagories.

Thanks for all the calls and emails about this Pow-wow in Feb 17-19 2005. I want to clarify the confusion and get everyone caught up. Our tribe host an Annual Pow-wow every first weekend in June and YES that is still on!! This pow-wow in February goes along with the Sesquicentennial Celebration that our tribe is celebrating. Start booking motel rooms now if you haven't reserved 'em yet. Rooms are filling up fast for that weekend!!

There are other motels in the area, but these two besides Super 8 and Lake Livingston Inn are the ones I'd recommend.

For those who are planning to come, make sure you make motel reservations Soon. Nearest Motel would be within 45min from the pow-wow grounds.

Hmmm...I hope Nibble on My Ears will be there. Yum! I want some lemonade, too. I haven't tried that alligator on a stick yet. Still waiting---been waiting for 3 or 4 years now.

My first time posting on here.. I am glad to see my fellow Texans..woo hooo!! I am in tha dallas area. I took my neice to the benefit pow wow at Greenville High school this weekend. She is 12 but she was crushin big time on the Head man dancer...who happens to be Alabama Coushatta!! Tyler Abby I think it was. I am Comanche by tha way.
