They aren't calling for rain this week, so we might just get the chance to see what it's like to dance in a dry arena.

62.95 / night (ask for Lumbee Fall Powwow Rate)

There are other hotels in the same area. There should be plenty of rooms. Between Exit 20 and Exit 17 there are at least a half a dozen

Ten bucks says there was someone named Richardson there and they took home some prize money.

Seem to be a crowd favorite.

I can tell you who placed in Women's Traditional and Women's Jingle - can't remember all the names for the other categories.

Women's Trandish:
1st - (me) Millicent Hunt
2nd - Becky Leviner
3rd - Sharon Harris

Women's Jingle:
1st - Madonna Sittingbear
2nd - Elise Sparks
3rd - April Whittemore

I do know that Josh Richardson placed 1st in Men's Grass (although he's a really awesome dancer - there were no other's competing against him)

Men's Fancy:
1st - Joel (JD) Moore
2nd - Bobby Hurt
