So does anyone have any winners from Rapid City?

I just know the winners from the special contests... I had to leave early to get to work so I didn't stick around for the winners.

Women's Jingle Special for Dawn Little Thunder
1st Jessie Spotted Tail I think she won a horse...
2nd I don't know her name...
3rd Ashley Phelps

Men's 50 and over tradish
1st Chico Her many horses
and I don't know who else...

On sat. nite they announced they had a little under 500 dancers. It was a good powwow. There was some scoop about Terry Fiddlers outfit getting stolen or something but I don't know if that was just a story or fact but you know how it goes with gossip.

Terry Fiddler still placed then. Dang well they had a special for him to get money since his stuff was his stuff was stolen. But all in all it was a good powwow. who won in mens grass? I heard Julius Not Afraid got first. but wants to know who else won. Since the people I was with wanted to leave early.

That is terrible, provided it is what happened. Who would be so cruel as to steal someone's traditional outfit. Especially someone as well known as Terry. I mean, where could you sell it or wear it, etc, when everyone knows that outfit? Was the whole thing stolen, bustle and all?
Well, I am sure it will be restored to him. But still, that is a very bad experience.

yeah, the whole outfit was stolen bustle and all, the person who stole it was partying with Terry that night and was trying to sell the outfit back on the rez, but he was caught. I dont know if Terry got his outfit back yet......tats just what i heard

It's too bad that Terry Fiddler got his outfit stolen but i guess he should have been responsible and respectful about his outfit and not been partying with it in the first place. i was feeling sorry for him until i shook his hand the next day and phooey!, he smelled like a bar! i guess maybe he should rethink his dancing or his partying and choose one or the other because they definitely don't mix as he found out.
