Whats the smoke dance?

Up here in WA we have smoke houses. And Smoke house Dancers. But i was reading a thread and it mentiond the smoke dance in a longhouse and them seeing it at pow wows or something..whats that all about if someone wouldnt mind telling me?

Its a Iroquois thing.
Actually alot of Eastern peoples smoke dance.
Its been recently introduced to pow wow last 10 years. Its a freestyle fast dance. Originally old war dances, now the tempo is sped up to minute songs.
Its great. I even seen Navajos smokin at Gathering.

That clears it up. Ive seen it before. But not so much in washington well the pow wows ive been to.(But ha ive been on a break from dancing going on 4 years :P im 16!)
