SSS in hand drum contest at Val D'or!
This news just in -
The Squeeling Squaws Singers competed in the hand drum contest in Val D'or, Quebec over the weekend - representing our PWS.commers in a wild and wonderful way! I understand that the ladies received perfect scores for their first song (and likely would have got first place!) however they suffered some technical difficulties in round dance drumming which resulted in their second song being less then stellar! All in all though they made a tremendous effort getting out there and giving it a go! Right on for your first singing effort ladies! Our congrats to the SSS made up of: Jibby, Miss Nish, Miss Nish's sis and Amanda F for repping us Ojib-kwes! You go girls! Also congrats to these ladies who placed in their categories: Oji-Flava who took first in women's tradish Miss nish who took second in women's tradish nakoda babe who took second in jingle and Jibby who took third in fancy after a spectacular dance off! |
