Ok, here it goes. Pet Peeve... when judging or standing in line, why,why do women watch the judges. Are you that insecure, or perhaps bullying the judges to pick you? Let your ability speak for itself and have some dignity. With guys, it's different because they are facing forward anyway, but c'mon now girls.

Are you kidding? When I judge the men, they are usually worse than the ladies. :Chatter But yeah, some of the men are real forward when they are dancing too and will come and dance right by you or almost circle around you just so they get your attention.
Anyway, I always try to trick em and look at one person then write a different persons number down.

thats retarded, maybe some of the judges get intimidated or SOMETHING, just do your thing, judge whoever you think should win, like they are going to track you down and beat you up after the powwow if u dont pick them lol

The Rat

I used to have the fancy dancer's habit of jumping up and down and bucking in front of the judges while we were lined up. Then, at one fateful powwow, they took my bucking as a sign that we had enough energy to dance a fourth (yes, FOURTH) contest song.

No more jumping and bucking for me...

Sounds retarded? probably because you do it, or someone you know does it. And yes, some judges do get intimidated and often times obligated to write who ever's deer eyes are staring at them. Be realistic, we all know no one is going to get the beat down if they don't pick the dancer thats gocking, but, there's no way you would know anyway, if the judge didn't pick you for you to beat them down.

what?...ur making assumptions, you dont know what i do or dont do. the point that i was getting at,is that the judges shouldnt care about whos watching,nothings going to happen afterwards,so just do your thing,tabulate who u think should win.

Hummmm.....seriously I never thought about the consequences of watching the judges as they fill-out the ballots. I wonder if a judge is more likey to choose the dancer who looks away or the dancer who stares at the judges or if it even matters. I think most dancers look at the judges, because I know sometimes you can tell if a judge picks you. But of course whenever I judge I don't care where they're looking. Unless of course the ladies start wink'n at me!

I kinda get the impression that they are keeping an eye on you to see if you picked them or not. I don't know maybe that is silly but I noticed a couple really keeping a watchful eye on you while the judge is writing down numbers.

I think some of them hide their numbers on purpose, just so they'll see if someone will ask the AD to uncover their number.
