Drum Contest:
Southern Zotigh Southern Outlaws (I think) Southern Slam Dunno about Northern... Mens' No. Tradish. 1st... Nathan Largo 2nd... somebody Eagle something or other 3rd....Terry Pecos Men's So. Tradish 1st.... Otto Hamilton GO OTTO!!!!!!!!! 2nd....dunno 3rd....dunnno Someone make corrections to these as they see fit.

Be ready for alot of bad post for this powwow. The tabulation for the contest was fixed BIGTIME!
There was a tie in womens jingle... the winner of the tie took first... and the other lady didnt even place!!! I think Jr. Girls Tradish was the same.. there was a tie... one took first.. the other took 3rd! When they went to check the tabulations they were threatened by the some of the head staff. And a "protest fee" was made up on the spot! Hiding something arent they?... anyway.. i know i wont be there anytime soon.

Yep, it was crazy. Even some of the taos elders who were watching went to complain to the commitee about the way they were treating the contestants.
Well the lady who was tabulating was trying to show them.. but the head judge and arena director wouldnt let her. They handeled the situation very poorly. Just the ties alone doesnt make sense! Then the two guys tried to say that when they dance they "dont dance for the money" and it shouldnt matter to the dancers... anything to cover up a fix i guess. Wonder how much they were getting paid?

Any more results to post?
Does anyone have the full Down Low of the Taos Pow-wow Results...i know my little brother placed 1st in Junior Boys Grass, but i was wanting to know who else placed overall. Thanks for any info posted! :taunting:
