For more info on results:
On ads for Thunder Bear powwow posters was arena director: Ian Hotomani@hotmail.com Give him an email to answer to that question. Be nice to read the offical results for that Winnipeg, Manitoba powwow here - good post! I spent all three days at this competition dancing Traditional womens category - it was all fun! The Chicken Dancers got everyone going - especially the little kid with the long orange plumes :mrcool: look'in at himself in his hand mirror. The Showed stealer! The audiences attention was drawn when two older teenagers mirrored one another, like two sharks circling, they faced off with feathered sticks pointing at the other. :duel12: This powwow (like all others) has it's good, bad and still wrinkly parts. I'll leave out ugly, eh! Plenty of parking and close distance to city buses. For three dollar entry charge to get into this medium sized hockey arena the public was packed in the bleachers. The floor chairs were reserved for singers and dancers bringing in their own chairs. That floor cement - it's a feet killer. Whay better to dance on a University basketball court!! Late Sunday night, winners were announced just past midnite. That was pretty late for most powwow goers, those who had children had already left, as city transit buses were on Holiday/Sunday schedule.

That lil guy (chicken dancer) is Rolanda Taylors son Cree Taylor. Hes an awsome lil dancer, this is the first time I seen him dance chicken, he danced grass before. Her daughter is also a really good dancer. she dances fancy. Awsome kids.
