We're hoping to make that one as well. I have it from a reliable source that there will be an Oklahoma drum there and possibly a stomp dance exhibition.

Calling ALL NATIVES!

Hey everyone in case you didn't already know the National Museum of American Indian(NMAI) is going to be hosting it's second biannual National Powwow this year. They are also going to be doing the National Memorial Day Parade. They will be carrying a sign for the Parade and this will help get the word out about the upcoming Powwow!

They are looking for all the Natives(So get your friends & family!) in the area to come out and support them during the Parade and walk with us! You are encouraged to come in full regalia. You will be able to change into your Regalia at the Museum. If you don't dance, come anyway and just wave and smile pretty.....LOL....it should be a great time!

The point of contact is Justin Giles, he works over at NMAI. They are still working out the final details but he would be more then happy to answer any questions you may have. Also, if you can participate can you please send him an email to let him know that you & your family/friends will be able to attend so that he can get a good head count! His POC info is:
