Yeah, I agree with you True Warrior.

Awahali-smooth sound
Kau-Ta-Noh Jrs.-just plain jammin'
Battle River-Oh my God!
Mandaree-very respected group, best oldschool sounding group

Just had to give my penny's worth.

The best original these days seem to be coming from the Chippewas/Ojibways and Crees these days: Battle River, Snake Island, High Noon, Red Bull, White Tail and Rockboy/Haystack.

White Eagle- everyone sings Arlie's songs
Mandaree- everyone sings the Baker's songs
Battle River- Kingbirds at their best
High Noon- jamming tunes but they need to get rid of that Darryl guy!
Red Bull- when they have a full crew
Mystic River- they need to be more repectful. I seen a few of these guys manhandling spectators and other singers at Schemitzun last year.
WhiteTail- when they first hit the scene, they were powerful but they must have lost some of their singers.
Haystack- always good old tunes
Snake Island- up and coming

Manhandling, huh? What's this about? They're a good group, nonetheless!

Yes they are a good group, that is why I have them on my list but I was only stating that I witnessed a couple of them disrespecting people at Schemitzun. Inappropriate behaviour for singers as this reflects on their group.

There are many others but these are a few of my favorite.

hmmm....think you might be misrepresentin' Big Bear and High Noon.....although they have some Cree singers I'd be hesitant to call them a Cree drum...especially with the songs they sing.....
