I love Smokeytown's back-up singers - they sound like angels to me!

I have just started singing = one year ago this month with Kau-ta-noh, Jrs. - I love it but have a long way to go - northern singing takes discipline and practice - we practice alot - and do enjoy singing.

And Delia is also the best individual singer to me - brings tears to my eyes!

:Thinking So, does this mean you are or you aren't one of your favorite singers?? :dontknow:

I still have to vote Delia Waskewitch and Shanda Hunter. :Thumbs not too many are in their class.

Now, if people want me to quit mentioning their names...... then quit asking the question!;) :p

Hehe - I am sorry - it means these ladies have been great inspirations to me and my family - and that without their voices, many would not step up to sing = how's that? :)

kit landuray (last name mispelled) who sings back up for bear creek, dang cuz she sings one deep and sounds dope as hell. I ain't know if she sings alone all the time but the times I've seen anyway, and I think thats all they need. But if they had more back up singers which they probably do, they'd even sound more better

I think I've heard Delia, if that is the one who sings with Red Bull. Haven't heard any of them in awhile though.

I like the sound of "TBZ" backup singers, seems like they hardly strain on them high pitch songs.

Smokeytown backups are also real good. At least the few times I've heard em.

I'd have to say Kit from Bear Creek; she is definately a "master blaster!" Much respect to her!

Also Melinda and Reva Danforth; they get their wail ON!!
Jam on girls!!!

Have to give my vote to Smokey Town's "Canary's". I have been listening to them for a while now and they always seem to sound good wether it's just a couple of them or all of them.

Keep it up Sha-bah-way-quayg!!!

Umm... I say my home town girlz from da rez. Shoutz out 2 Vidella, Dondie, Candy, Roy and Dru. They can BLAST and rock down the house. :o

I also say my girly palz Delia and Val Chief. Yee'h! They can blast and rock, too.

Can't forget the lady folkz that travel and sing with their men folk: Bonnie C. & crew (TBZ), Louise S.R. & crew (Blodge) and Bear Creek Girl (Kit?). :D

Yeah I agree. That Bear Creek Girl can wail. I was watching her one time and she looks like she really gets into it.

backup singers

Those Taos women are pretty rad (Alice Martinez, the Concha's, etc; see/hear the High Noon tapes on Indian House Records)... just be my thinking...
