Have u ever done something and been "shamed"? Especially when you go to the pow-wow and walk around...is like peeps are whispering about you? I think many of us have did something one time or another.......no one person is perfect.

We all learn from our mistakes...or I try to anyway. Past few big pow-wows I have been to I have not only seen but heard something that really disturbed me.

I saw Hokie Clairmont of THE BOYZ, laughing and joking around about ripping off a casino. I asked around and found out it IS TRUE!! He and Everette Moore were employees of the KICKAPOO CASINO in McCloud, Oklahoma and ripped them off for $10,000. I called their office and spoke with the court as this is a matter of public record. They pled guilty to felony charges!!

Is one thing to do it but to have NO SHAME and laugh around about it in public....daaaaaaaaaaang!

We have a lot of other drums groups out there. Obviously these NO SHAME guys think it is funny to rip off their own NDN people and now we have NDN organizations asking them to be host!!!! TOO MUCH!!!! I think they need to be made to realize what they have done....like i said, there was no remorse in their laughiung and joking around......and even said they got away with it!!!

I for one do not condone this kinda action. A lot of people may say so what..but think about it...EVERETTE MOORE is KICKAPOO he ripped his own people and his buddy helped....SAD...Are they gonna think twice about ripping you off?

DOING YOU A FAVOR? No, I am doing the rest of the pow-wow world a favor....by informing them of the truth of what went on regarding the Grand Larceny charges filed against these two men....I am putting an end to rumors.

REAL NAMES? Well, yeah....as it was stated previously, "this is a matter of public record". They have already been charged and entered a plea of guilty.

When you are not remorseful in anyway and laugh publically about something as serious as this, THEN there is something dreadfully wrong.

I provided a telephone number where this can be verified. As I stated I for one do not condone this type of activity. People who hold themselves in the eye of the pow-wow public have a certain resposibility so this is my business.... Don't you think? Yes, people will talk...and rumors will spread and I bet half of who read this are saying "RIGHT ON"..now we know what really happened.

I'm related to Everett Moore and am ashamed. The family is saddened to know that he has committed such a crime to us his own people/family and tribe. It is very disheartening and to think that him and his fellow offender are still being honored at pow-wows? hm...

you know, pw enquirer, the only reason I stopped into your thread here was the mention of the drum group, as this is the forum... I found your words disheartening, and agree with Lakota that you have used their drum name to further yourself, for whatever reasons. Granted it is, as you say, public opinion, but geez... I wouldn't want this to be me, as your reference to them 2 men.

If it is indeed true, that is really sad. I've no doubt they are ashamed as hell and wish this didn't happen. I'd like to quote CHER on this one, "If I could turn back time..." :)

However, I will not waste my money, nor my time on trying to verify the truth, it is not really important to me, nor hardly to anyone else here, to find out the details.

Girlfriend, don't worry about this... are you directly affected? If not, then, why? I will send good thoughts your way and hope you absorb them... Just look around, there is so much more to focus on and appreciate...
