When at the Ponca hethuska this spring we danced to the song I remember. That song gives people permisson to smoke. It is a really pretty song.

i don't think they danced the smoking song at the AIS Hethuska this past weekend. it was my first year there, and just as a spectator, so i was still learning everything about the dance. but if i remember correctly, everyone sat for the song. anyone else at AIS?

This past weekend at the AIS Hethuska I was seated near the Ponca Nuda Honga. The smoke song was sung during the first water break and some people stood, some people sat and some other folks just looked around trying to figure out what to do. I asked Damon whaat the 'rule' was. He said "some people stand, some people think you should dance it, and some sit". I guess that clears that up.
