First annual Tribal Crossroads Pow Wow to be held in Leitchfield, Kentucky June 17-19, 2005. We have the rest of our staff in place, but we are still in need of a suitable Head Man Dancer for our staff. Please see the following link and contact us by email (on site) for more information.

Pick me, pick me! I'll fancy dance on Friday, grass dance on Saturday, Straight or traditional dance on Sunday and.... Heck, I'll even switch dance and take over for your head woman dancer on her break! *L

Thanks to all Responders on this thread. We are happy to announce that Grady ShadowHawk Jones has accepted the position. Working on ironing out some changes in programming and will update website and event postings. Thanks again to all.

While it is fun to go to all the big, popular Pow-Wows during the Pow-Wow season, we all should remember that the big, popular Pow-Wows did not start out being great from day one. They all had to start from nothing and build a reputation with support from the community, singers, dancers, spectators, etc.
The smaller community Pow-Wows, whether they are in Kentucky, South Dakota, Oklahoma, or wherever, will never have a chance to become larger and more popular without support and encouragement, especially from dancers. I admire the efforts of this Leitchfield, Kentucky "Tribal Crossroads" Pow-Wow Committee in have the courage and determination to start-up a Pow-Wow. It's not an easy task. I know Grady and have danced with him many times. He is a good Straight Dancer and will make a fine Head Man Dancer. I will be "on the road" attending other dances in June, but since I now live in Kentucky, I will do my best to attend this new Pow-Wow and support it by dancing in my best Straight Clothes.
