Jeronimo* huh. riight! Well I'll have you know my Great Great Great Great Great Grandma was white. Which makes me Cherokee. So how about let me make up something too. UMMM Let's see. I want to be...Sioux...And I'm directly related to Val Kilmer in Thunder Heart. So that gives me the right to do anything I want.
" we would be equal to the white squatters that took our lands" Are you Freaking SERIOUS?? Honestly this whole thing is a complete joke. Don't you think its sad that the only people voting for Versace Creek are their own? From Texas? Now if they were humble enough to ask for additional guidance on singing proper songs then that would be one thing. But since this whole idol eshawp, they're getting all BEEFED up and someone giving them the idea that they have their OWN style is making it worse. That is not THEIR style. It is a NATIONWIDE STYLE, called HOBBIEST. This is why none of these drums ever leave their state because the only people that enjoy that kind of STYLE of music is their own people, because they have never learned real singing. Not that I am any FIRST CLASS bad A singer, just another opinion, tired of seeing this going on. But there is a reason this style never appears at any big powwows, that's because nobody enjoys DANCING to it, which if i'm not mistaken is the reason singers sing, to make dancers dance. So what is the point of singing, if you can't fulfill your duty as a singer and make people dance. The smart thing to do would NOT be to quit singing, would be to learn how to make people enjoy dancing to your music NOT JUST listening. I understand people in Texas probably dance, perhaps there are no other drums there, or because people grew up listening to you. None the less. If you set up anywhere else, feelings are going to get hurt, possibly fights, just not going to be any fun. ESPECIALLY if Red Earth comes around with you as a host. I'm sure the committee would do their part to not allow anything bad, but there is only so much they can do. How do you think it's going to feel when you guyz are up to sing an intertribal, and everyone quits dancing and leaves the arena. WHICH I GUARANTEE will happen.... GOD forbid you attempt to go to the 49. OH LORD...I'm Just being real, because someone has to be real with you, and I'm tired of you guys getting beefed up thinking your hoss guys.

No other polls are affected. They've already started and end automatically.

Isn't this the same Robert Soto that had his eagle feathers taken away by Fish & Game? I bet you that wherever they go, the US Govt will follow. Now, that is bad medicine.

i'm from texas and trust me, this isnt the style of the singing that everyone listens to
unfortunately i have heard this drum before at a powwow and if you couldnt tell before..none of their songs are traditional "lipan apache", just made up ones, and yes They Drag Him no one on the drum is actually legally allowed to carry eagle feathers (none are registered), and ohh yeah and some advice, the drum should at least know how to properly pronouce their name (its not wee-sach, its wee-sa-che) |
