Quick question regarding proper etiquette/protocol:
There is a mutual interest between myself and someone; he will be head dancer at a powwow coming up. I would like to personally give him something prior to the start of the powwow to honor his being chosen head dancer; is this appropriate? Any suggestions as to a gift? Will he be allowed to dance ladies choice, and will he have to dance with the head female dancer? Thank you. |

Give him a kiss on the cheek and giggle.
Yes, he will have to dance with the head female dancer in the two-step and he must hold her very close and get the smell of her sweet perfume which might be very enticing. If you aren't careful, he may look into her eyes and one thing just might lead to another. Dance right behind him during this dance and give a loud "ahem!" at this time. If that doesn't work, knock her over during a turnaround. Jus' kiddin'! |

I do not think giggling is appropriate at my age!!!
I used to work in a prison as a correctional officer, so if any female gets out of line, I will just knock her off her feet with the defensive tactics I learned!! Pressure points are good to use! :) |

Thanks for the input, Walela. I was not sure if it was appropriate considering our mutual attraction and we are still in the getting to know you stages. I failed to mention that we are both over 35, by the way.......
I just do not want to disrespect anyone. Thanks

ok, so not college aged, but a gift that is very useable for his daily life would still be nice: non-perishable foods, candles, gift certificates. Does head make his own dance clothes? How 'bout fabric or beads or something like that?

Yes, he makes his own clothes with the help of family and friends. I was thinking along those lines, or even making a pair of earrings for him. Thanks for the tips. I was hoping I would get a serious answer instead of the silliness, but the silliness is fun, too! Helps others not to take life so seriously............
Thanks again! |
