Hello, iam from hollad and i want to travel to the vs and go to powwows, but i dont know much about it. Is there anyone who can help me, and tell me more? Many thanks!!!

You can learn a lot from this site. Also be wary of mean Native Americans who'll thwart any dubious question that you may ask. Just remember not to mention any sacred matter.

its true tho, Please be careful when inquiring into such
things, it can sometimes be hard for outsiders to distuinguish between that which is sacred and is unable to be shared with common folk and that which is meant to be shared.

do not be discouraged in asking questions some may not answer you at all others may be willing to share that which they have knowledge also be careful of those that claim to have extensive knowledge. Use your discretion and for the most part you will find most of the answers in which you seek as long as you seek them out of respect and not because you find it novel to know about the Native culture and History.

Hi again and thanks. I don't want to ask disrespectful questions, but i just don't know that much. So sorry if i accidently say something stupid.
I am interested in powwows because i saw one in Den Bosch in Holland. The dances are really beautiful.
I am also looking for friends with the same interests as me. Here in holland i don't have a lot of friends because everyone thinks indians are stupid. Sometimes i really hate white people, but i am one myself so that is a bit of a problem.
But enough about that. Bye!!!
p.s.:I hope my englisch is understandible

There are also a lot of people who think they know lots but after a while everything they say sounds the same. Not meaning anybody in particular so don't go getting offended.

yup, may have alot to do with the fact that many of the topic threads are the same or very similar or have been reborn, so people that reply will repeat themselves and stik to what they originally said in another thread or post.

I agree tho alot of people here claim to have extensive knowlege about things when they dont. As for myself Id rather learn and if i am corrected in what i say, cool, it just means that i have learned even more and broadened my thinking. I have learned ALOT from alot of people here willing to share with me what they know. I like it when I am corrected on mis information which i may have been given. Id rather be corrected than go thru life being deceived.

You guys wouldn't believe how many times AngelFeather has proven me wrong. It's been a bumpy road of deceit and lies, lol. That's something that I've never repeated before. Do we have to go the way of Shakespeare in having to use our vocabulary to the fullest? I hope not, shyt.

LMAO well for sum vocab is very important here on the net... its like they tryin to earn an online degree... rofl...
I dont know how many times i have been told bout my typing on this site.. juz laugh and think well geez didnt realize i was writing a thesis.. LMAO...shall I get out my APA manual? rofl

there are some that will go out of thier way just to find
something wrong in what you say and how you say it, but thats thier prob. If I am approached in a manner that is nice and I am told that i have offended them i will gladly do my best to fix it. Im a person that says exactly what i think and fee,l and ill be the first one to admit i was wrong and the first to appologize for my actions. If its not accepted then its not my problem anymore. I dont have time to carry grudges, its petty and foolish.
