I stopped wearing my crowns after my 3 terms as princess were up. and I too think some of these older ladies wearing crowns look silly, too. Unless they were elected powwow queen or something they just shouldn't do it.

At least from what I am told. So I guess if someone is feeling really caucasion then I guess they could use that excuse to wear crowns...... That is only my opinion of course..... but since my girls understand that crowns are not traditional I think we will be alright..... We know where our family came from and will continue to practice our traditions the best we can providing we have to incorporate our current practices into our traditional ways. |

well culture doesnt remain stagnant and changes with the times...but i guess wearing crowns isnt that important enit...i know im a disco queen.....jk...begs i have a little bling sceptor to go with my crown...

i have a couple of those lying arund here also..they're pretty eh.... i wear mine on special occasions...begs at the chilliwack powwow lets wear them there ok?
